Description of the PA1 Course
PA1 is the first of two professional application exams students must pass to complete the CGA designation. PA1 focuses on areas such as financial accounting, taxation and assurance from a perspective of an external accountant providing business advisory services. The course is focused on case studies, which provides students an opportunity to integrate their technical knowledge and professional judgment and showcase their critical thinking skills.
Description of the PA2 Course
PA2 is the second professional application exam students must pass to complete the CGA designation. PA2 provides an overview of strategic financial management from a perspective of internal management with emphasizes on areas such as financial accounting, management accounting, finance and information technology. Similar to PA1, case studies is the focus of the course.
You write the case online
We will provide a case question online each week for you to attempt. These cases are mostly integrated, but some are single subject with a focus on specific competencies related to each specific examination. You will also get case tips along with case feedback and analysis.
We mark
Your cases will be marked by professional markers and detailed feedback on ways to improve your case writing will be provided within 2 days.
We give feedback
Markers will provide specific feedback on how to improve your case writing and will highlight any technical areas of deficiencies. You will also receive detailed solutions to the cases.
